Information You Enter
Names, phone numbers, and addresses typed into a search box are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. The operator does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you send a message, the information in that message reaches the mailbox used to answer it.
Ordinary Technical Logs
Hosting services may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. The operator uses those logs in aggregate to maintain the reference and understand which San Juan Capistrano pages receive attention. Cookies or related tools may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Information is used to operate the pages, repair errors, measure broad traffic, improve wording, and answer messages. The operator does not sell visitor lists or build a personal profile of an individual reader.
External Portals and Providers
Links lead to Orange County offices, San Juan Capistrano public-records tools, California agencies, libraries, Archives, and third-party search providers. The destination's privacy policy controls information submitted there. Sponsored search results are supplied by a separate company, and the operator does not control its collection, pricing, retention, or use.
Who Processes Site Information
Hosting and technical service providers process the server information needed to deliver the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is limited to the service functions described here.
Security and Retention
The reference is served over an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational purposes that require them. There are no reader accounts, passwords, or personal profiles on the site to expose.
Children Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operator does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact the operator if a minor is believed to have sent information, and the operator will remove what it can find. For protected-address questions, California's Safe at Home program is the official source; this site will not attempt to identify a substitute address.
Your California Privacy Choices
Where applicable, California's Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, provides rights to know or access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit sensitive-data use, and receive nondiscriminatory treatment. The statute begins at Civil Code section 1798.100 et seq. These rights concern covered business handling; they do not erase source records held by San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, or California custodians.
California's public-records rules are separate. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000-7931.000, governs access to many existing public records and includes exemptions. The Secretary of State's public-records FAQ explains the request framework, while a request to remove a government record must go to the office that keeps it, not to this private reference. To ask what the operator retains, use the Contact page.
Policy Changes
When this policy changes, the revised text will be posted here. Continuing to use the reference after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
